Occupational Health and Safety Law and other laws and the provisions of the Draft Law on Amending the Law Decree of April 4, 2015 in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey was adopted by the General Assembly enacted Law No. 6645 number. The Law also made important changes in the Vocational Qualifications Authority Law No. 5544.
Undoubtedly, one of the most important of these changes has been the occupations that require documents, which are closely related to the working and business world. According to the law; "Persons who are dangerous and very dangerous jobs, whose standards are published by the Vocational Qualifications Authority and specified in the communiqués to be issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, will not be employed if they do not have a Vocational Qualification Certificate twelve months after the date of publication of the communiqués."
In Which Professions VQA Vocational Qualification Certificate Will Be Required?
With the first communiqué published by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services on 25/05/2015, in 40 professions, in 8 professions with the second communiqué published on 24/03/2016, in 33 professions with the third communiqué published on 26/09/2017, 11 With the fourth communiqué published on / 11/2018, 36 professions, and 26 with the fifth communiqué published on 03/10/2019, a total of 143 professions are required. With the fifth communique, persons who do not have VQA Vocational Qualification Certificate will not be employed in 26 professions twelve months after the publication date (as of 03/10/2020).
It is planned to apply to all professions classified as dangerous and very dangerous, after the requirement of a document that started in 143 professions included in the Ministry Communiqués continues in 226 professions in the list of wages determined by the President's Decree and the Cabinet.
Which Professions' Exam Fees Will Be Covered?
The examination and certification fees of the examinations conducted by the VQA Authorized Certification Bodies in the professions included in the communiqués published by the Ministry will be covered by the Unemployment Insurance Fund within the scope of the tariff published by the Council of Ministers.
